    Project Overview

    Project Description

GRUYT is a Saxon term used to refer to the set of flavourings that were used in the production of a superior quality beer until the end of the 15th century.

And GRUYT is the project that aims to create employment opportunities for migrants coming out of the SPRAR reception projects run by the partners, in the field of craft beer production and the cultivation of herbs and spices.

Gruyt becomes the method for building an integration system for migrants that works on cultural mediation and job placement: a craft beer production plant together with the cultivation of 10 hectares of land to be dedicated to the cultivation of herbs and spices that will characterise the production of beer. The idea is to make GRUYT a concrete example of circular economy: the profits allow the project itself to be sustainable over time, creating a stable migrant integration model capable of generating value. Sharing and collaboration between migrants and residents, from ‘host context’ to ‘community of belonging’. The project is designed to build effective conditions of sharing and collaboration between migrants and residents.
