Through the PRO-MOTE solidarity project in Croatia, Austria, Spain, Italy and Poland, we strengthen inclusion, create opportunities and encourage the employment of migrants and vulnerable groups.
About PRO-MOTE project
Promoting Migrant Opportunities, Training and Employment
PRO-MOTE (Promoting Migrants Employment and Opportunities) is an European project, funded by THE CERV programme. Project’s aim is fostering the employment and integration of migrants through cooperation with local communities and businesses. Through mentoring, education and connecting with employers, migrants acquire new skills and increase their chances of employment.

Citizens Solidarity lab is an initiative that brings together local and international projects to strengthen social cohesion and create new employment opportunities. Through solidarity and joint action, we build sustainable projects that support migrants and vulnerable groups in integrating into the labour market.

The project empowers migrants and refugees by enhancing their socio-economic opportunities, advocating for their rights, and involving them in policymaking. It supports their integration into society while addressing discrimination and unlocking their potential to boost the EU economy.

Citizens play a vital role in welcoming migrants, fostering social cohesion, and promoting inclusivity. Their participation enriches communities with diverse perspectives and creates resilient societies, contributing to the development of vibrant and inclusive European communities.
Migrant entrepreneurs
These entrepreneurs inspire others with their success stories, mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, and serve as role models. They create job opportunities, foster integration, and drive economic growth, while the project validates their achievements and expands their networks.
Social Entrepreneurs
Social entrepreneurs promote migrant entrepreneurship, create jobs, and provide insights on policies and regulations. They inspire solidarity initiatives and benefit from enhanced networking opportunities and access to a motivated workforce through the project.
Decission-Makers and Experts
Decision-makers and experts provide critical insights into migration and employment policies. Their participation fosters informed policymaking, defends EU values, and enhances solidarity by addressing challenges and promoting strategies for migrant integration.
NGO Representatives
NGOs are crucial for migrant integration, offering legal aid, language training, and mentoring. The project strengthens their capacity through collaboration and resource sharing, enabling innovative approaches and ongoing support for migrants and refugees.
Our partners across Europe
PRO-MOTE project would not be possible without a strong network of partners building solidarity projects together. Our partners come from Croatia, Austria, Spain, Italy and Poland, and we work together to support migrants and create new employment opportunities.
The Institute for Creative Education (IKO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to non-formal and creative education, with a strong focus on entrepreneurial learning and social inclusion. IKO specializes in developing innovative programs for vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and people with disabilities, and promotes lifelong learning and an entrepreneurial mindset. Operating the BIZkoshnica coworking space, IKO serves as a hub for social entrepreneurship, fostering collaboration and innovation.
IKO has extensive experience in international projects, including Erasmus+ initiatives aimed at enhancing digital skills, critical thinking, and media literacy. Under the leadership of Mirela Marović Omerzu, who has conducted over 50 trainings in entrepreneurship and advocacy, IKO has developed robust expertise in project and financial management. The organization transformed into a social enterprise during the EU-funded project Društveno-poduzetnička koshnica, building its capacity for social entrepreneurial activities.
As a PRO MOTE partner, IKO’s expertise aligns perfectly with the project’s goal of empowering migrants in the labor market. They bring significant experience in coordinating international projects and managing online sessions. IKO will lead project management, financial reporting, and design activities like Local Solidarity Workshops and the Inclusive Job Fair to enhance migrant integration and employment opportunities.
CEPOR – SMEs & Entrepreneurship Policy Centre, founded in 2001, is an independent NGO and think tank in Zagreb focusing on SME policy and entrepreneurial capacity development. With ten institutional founders, including academic institutions and business organizations, CEPOR promotes entrepreneurship and SME growth through research, policy recommendations, and collaboration among experts, policymakers, and entrepreneurs.
CEPOR conducts evidence-based research on the SME sector, including the annual SMEs in Croatia report and Croatia’s participation in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). Over 22 years, CEPOR has addressed challenges such as administrative barriers, women’s entrepreneurship, immigrant entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer to foster a supportive environment for SMEs.
As a PRO-MOTE partner, CEPOR’s expertise in policy research and addressing gaps in entrepreneurial support will contribute significantly to empowering migrants in the European labor market. Their role includes designing the Policy Dialogue Forum and Policy Accelerator to influence and improve policies for migrant employment and integration, ensuring impactful outcomes.

Materahub is a strategic design hub focused on fostering local development through entrepreneurship, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. Specializing in social innovation, cultural and creative industries, tourism, and education, Materahub has led EU-funded projects over the past decade, promoting social entrepreneurship and sustainable business solutions. Their initiatives have facilitated young entrepreneur exchanges and innovative education models, making them an invaluable PRO-MOTE partner.
With a skilled team of 25 professionals, including experts in social media, visual design, SEO, and web management, Materahub excels in dissemination and awareness-raising. As the lead for WP10 in the PRO-MOTE project, they will oversee the awareness-raising conference and social media campaigns, ensuring effective communication and maximizing the project’s outreach and impact.

Cecot Innovation Foundation (FCI), established in 1996 and linked to the Cecot Employers Association, is a non-profit foundation dedicated to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, employment, and organizational modernization. FCI supports companies in competitiveness through expertise in entrepreneurship, business resilience, innovation management, digital transformation, and internationalization.
Aligned with PRO-MOTE’s goals, FCI’s experience in entrepreneurship and business growth will contribute significantly to empowering migrants in the European labor market and fostering their integration. Their expertise in managing business processes and driving innovation positions them to play a key role in influencing policies that support migrant success.
As the lead for WP2 of PRO-MOTE, FCI will ensure the effective implementation of project activities. Their proficiency in digital transformation will also be instrumental in creating the Citizens Solidarity Lab online platform, providing a user-friendly digital space for collaboration among migrants, experts, and stakeholders.

Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Kraków, Poland’s oldest and most esteemed research institution, was founded in 1364 and ranks as the country’s top university. It is recognized globally in the 2023 THE World University Ranking. With nearly 34,000 students, 4,821 academics, and €100 million in annual income, UJ offers a diverse array of programs across medicine, sciences, humanities, and social sciences. As a research university, it is one of ten Polish institutions granted special funds for research excellence.
Within UJ, the Jagiellonian Centre for Migration Studies (JCSM) specializes in migration research and education. JCSM actively contributes to projects on immigrant and refugee issues and offers an undergraduate BA program in migration studies, taught in Polish.
As a PRO-MOTE partner, JCSM’s expertise in migration research and knowledge dissemination will enhance the project’s impact by raising awareness and understanding of migrant challenges and opportunities. Their insights will be vital for designing and delivering the Policy Dialogue Forum: From “Uberization” to Integration.

Roma VHS, part of the Burgenland Adult Education Centres and the Association of Austrian Adult Education Centres (VHS), is a leading non-profit institution dedicated to quality adult education. With over 270 offices across Austria, it combines general, political, cultural, and vocational education to empower individuals for a self-determined and fulfilling life. Roma VHS is committed to democracy, human rights, and addressing social exclusion by tackling local, regional, and global challenges.
Specializing in working with marginalized groups, Roma VHS focuses on providing educational opportunities that promote compensatory learning, raise problem awareness, foster creativity, and enhance physical and psychological well-being. Their expertise aligns with PRO MOTE’s mission to empower migrants and support their integration into the EU labor market.
As a PRO MOTE partner, Roma VHS will design and deliver targeted workshops, emphasizing inclusivity and social support. They will also provide mentorship and guidance to migrants, leveraging their experience to facilitate meaningful integration into the EU business landscape and contributing to sustainable and equitable outcomes.
