Behind every statistic about migration, there is a person with a dream.

Throughout the PRO-MOTE project, we had the privilege of meeting extraordinary people who chose hope over fear, determination over uncertainty, and action over obstacles. They came from different parts of the world, spoke different languages, and followed different professional paths. Yet they all shared one thing in common: the courage to build a new life in a new country.

Their stories remind us that migration is not only about challenges—it is also about talent, creativity, entrepreneurship, and the incredible human capacity to adapt and thrive.

Today, we are proud to share five inspiring testimonial videos featuring migrants and migrant entrepreneurs whose journeys have left a lasting impression on everyone involved in the PRO-MOTE project.

Before we start with inspiring migrant stories, Prof. Jan Brzozowski from Jagiellonian University shares the broader perspective on migrant entrepreneurship, explaining why supporting migrant entrepreneurs is not only a matter of inclusion, but also an investment in innovation, economic growth and more resilient European societies.

More Than Success Stories

These five individuals represent thousands of migrants across Europe whose talents, ideas and entrepreneurial spirit often remain unseen.

Throughout the PRO-MOTE project, we learned that integration is not simply about finding employment or starting a business. It is about creating opportunities, building mutual trust, recognising people’s potential and ensuring that everyone has the chance to contribute to society.

What impressed us most was not only what these individuals have achieved, but how they achieved it. They faced language barriers, unfamiliar systems, cultural differences and moments of uncertainty. Yet they continued moving forward—with courage, persistence and optimism.

Their journeys remind us that resilience is built one step at a time, entrepreneurship often begins with a single opportunity, and successful integration is a shared responsibility between migrants and the communities that welcome them.

We hope these stories inspire others who may currently be facing similar challenges. Whether you are considering starting a business, looking for employment in a new country, or simply searching for the confidence to take your next step, these voices prove that new beginnings are possible.

At PRO-MOTE, we are grateful to have met such remarkable individuals and honoured that they chose to share their experiences with us.

We invite you to watch their testimonial videos and discover the inspiring stories behind each journey.

Because every successful integration begins with a story—and every story has the power to inspire another.
